Notice of Substantial Road Works

Three months advance notice is hereby given that Kirklees Metropolitan Council, Highways Service, intends to carry out substantial road works.   2. The streets in which these works will take place are:     Blacker Road North, Birkby.   3. Work is expected to affect the carriageway/footway between:       J/o with St. Johns Road 30 metres into junction of Norman Road, including junction Bell Mouths of Arnold Street, Leslie Street, Jack Hill, Kingcliff Road and Bay Hall Common Road.   4. Work is expected to commence on 5th October 1998. (Works should begin within 1 month of this date.)   5. The works notified will include the reconstruction and resurfacing of footways and carriageway-rekerbing.   6. Subject to exemptions in the Act and Regulations under it, no street works may be executied for period of 12 months from completion of works described in paragraph 5 without the consent of the said Highway Authority which shall not be unreasonably withheld.   Contact point: S.
