European Communities (Definition of Treaties) (The Energy Charter Treaty) Order 1996

Notice is hereby given that the United Kingdom lodged its Instrument of ratification of the Energy Charter Treaty in Lisbon on 16th December 1998. Following signature of the European Energy Charter in the Hague on 17th December 1991, negotiations were completed on the legally binding Energy Charter Treaty which came into provisional effect on 17th December 1994.
