Stopping-up of Highways at Western Bank Industrial Estate, Wigton
Notice is hereby given that Cumbria County Council, the Highway Authority, intends to apply to the Magistrates’ Court for the Petty Sessional Division of Carlisle and Wigton, sitting at the Magistrates’ Court, The Courthouse, Wigton, on Thursday, 20th August 1998, at 10 a.m., for an Order under section 116 of the Highways Act 1980 authorising the County Council to stop up those lengths of highway described in the Schedule hereto on the grounds that they are unnecessary. A plan showing the lengths of highway to be stopped up may be inspected at the Council’s Offices of the Department of Highways and Engineering, Derwent Hill, Wakefield Road, Cockermouth CA13 0HT, and at the offices of the undersigned during normal working hours. At the hearing of this application, any person who uses the highways or any person who would be aggrieved by the making of the Order applied for, shall have a right to be heard. B. Description of Length of Highways to be Stopped up
A length of industrial estate road being Phase I of the Western Bank Industrial Estate, Wigton and extending in a westerly direction from Longhead Lane, together with a short spur road which forms a T-junction with the main length of estate road and extends in a southerly direction. The road involved has a total length of 111 linear yards or thereabouts 0.063 mile/0.102 kilometres). 17th July 1998.
