Notice of application for a licence to abstract water

Take notice that Silent Valley Waste Services Limited, of Beechwood House, Cwm, Ebbw Vale NP3 6PZ, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from an unnamed spring at National Grid Reference SO 1816 0734, at Silent Valley, Cwm Merddog, Ebbw Vale.   The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 3.5 cubic metres per hour, 42 cubic metres per day, and 6,158 cubic metres per year. The water will be used for domestic, industrial and commercial purposes.   A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Silent Valley Waste Services Ltd, Beechwood House, Cwm, Ebbw Vale NP3 6PZ, between 16th July and 12th August 1998.   Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Rivers House, St. Mellons Business Park, St. Mellons, Cardiff CF3 0LT, before the end of the said period, quoting the name of the applicant.
