The Staffordshire County Council (Burntwood Bypass—Phase 3 Classified Road) (Side Roads) Order 1998
The Staffordshire County Council hereby give notice that they have made, and submitted to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions for confirmation, an Order under sections 14 and 125 of the Highways Act 1980. (i) authorising the Council to: (a) improve highways (including raising, lowering or otherwise altering) (b) stop up highways, (c) construct new highways, (d) stop up private means of access to premises, (e) provide new means of access to the said premises all or in the vicinity of the route of the classified road which the Council are proposing to construct from 150 metres south of the south-westerly end of Robins Road, in a southerly direction for a distance of 1,480 metres to a point 550 metres south of the junction of Church Street and High Street, in Burntwood, in the District of Lichfield and in the county of Staffordshire. Copies of the Order and of the relevant plans may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours from 9th July 1998, to 24th August 1998, at the offices of Staffordshire County Council, County Buildings, Martin Street, Stafford; Lichfield District Council, District Council House, Frog Lane, Lichfield; Burntwood Library, Bridge Cross Road, Burntwood, Staffordshire, and at the offices of the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions. Any person may, not later than 24th August 1998, object to the confirmation of the Order by notice to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions, Government Office for the North East, Local Authority Orders Section, Wellbar House, Gallowgate, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 4TD, stating the grounds of their objection.
