Temporary prohibition of traffic and pedestrians on the A406 London North Circular Trunk Road, Enfield

The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions hereby gives notice that, on safety grounds, he has made an Order, the effect of which will prohibit on part of the A406 London North Circular Trunk Road, known as Fore Street underpass;   (a) pedestrians, persons using a pedal cycle with four wheels or fewer and not being a mechanically propelled vehicle,   (b) persons riding a horse,   (c) persons causing or permitting any cart or carriage drawn by a horse,   (d) persons using a motorcycle with engines less than 50 cc, and   (e) persons using an invalid carriage. To enter or proceed over;   (i) Eastbound carriageway of the trunk road from the point opposite the southern end of Silver Street to the point opposite the southern end of Linnell Road.   (ii) Westbound carriageway of the trunk road from the point opposite the southern end of Linnell Road to the point opposite the southern end of Southern Street.   The Order will come into force on 28th June 1998, and the prohibition will apply, where appropriate traffic signs are displayed, from 0001 hours on 28 June 1998, until 0001 hours on 28th June 1999.
