SALFORD CITY COUNCIL
The City of Salford (New Lane, Eccles) (Prohibition of Waiting) Order 1998
Notice is hereby given that on 5th June 1998, the Council of the City of Salford,
made the above-mentioned Order under sections 1, 2 and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984.
The effect of the Order is as described in the notice of proposal to make the Order
which appeared in The London Gazette (Issue No. 54470) dated 18th July 1996, under Ref. No. 514, in that it is unlawful
to permit vehicular traffic to wait at any time on the length of road specified in
the Schedule below.
A copy of the Order and a map showing the lengths of road affected are available
for inspection at the Legal Section, Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton M27 5DA,
between 8.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m., Mondays to Fridays inclusive (Ref. H/LP/CLH/ CRTO/30).
If you wish to question the validity of the Order or of any of the provisions contained
in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, or of any
Instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order you may,
within 6 weeks from 5th June 1998, apply to the High Court for this purpose.

Schedule
No Waiting at Any Time
New Lane, west side, from the northern kerb-line of Lily Street in a northerly direction for
a distance of 30 metres.
New Lane, west side, from the southern kerb-line of Lily Street, in a southerly direction for
a distance of 15 metres.
