LONDON BOROUGH OF CROYDON
Birdhurst Avenue, South Croydon, Controlled Parking Place
Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Croydon propose to
make the Croydon (South) (Parking Places) (No. 1) Order 1993 (Amendment No. ), Traffic
Order 199 , under sections 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the
Road Traffic Regulation (Parking) Act 1986.
The general effect of the Order would be to amend the Croydon (South) Controlled
Parking Zone to:
(a) redesignate a length of 19 4 hour parking bays in Birdhurst Avenue, South Croydon;
and
(b) provide that the regulations of the Croydon (South) (Parking Places) (No. 1)
Order 1993 as amended shall apply to the aforesaid parking bays.
(Charges for parking in the bays will vary from 30p for 30 minutes (minimum) to
£1.30 for 4 hours (maximum)).
A copy of the proposed Order and of all related Orders, of the Council’s statement
of reasons for proposing to make the Order and a map which indicates the length of
road to which the proposed Order relates, can be inspected for a period of 28 days
from the date of this notice during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive
at the Enquiry Counter “One Stop” Facility, Taberner House, Park Lane, Croydon, Surrey.

Persons desiring to object to the proposed Order should send a statement in writing
of their objection and the grounds thereof to the Ordermaking Section, Public Services
and Works Department, Room 15-07, Taberner House, Park Lane, Croydon, quoting Ref.
TH/JAA/SCPZ, within the aforementioned period of 28 days.
The proposed Order is intended to amend the Croydon (South) Controlled Parking
Zone to redesignate a parking place in Birdhurst Avenue, South Croydon.
