Notice of application for a licence to abstract water

Take notice that Beacon Waste Ltd, 106 High Street, Evesham, Worcestershire WR11 4EL, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from un-named tributary of Piddle Brook, at National Grid Reference SO 8108 8815, at Hill and Moor Landfill Site.   The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 28 cubic metres per hour, 252 cubic metres per day, 92,000 cubic metres per year, between October 1998 and July 2001. The water will be used for filling off stream storage lakes, thereafter the proposed abstraction will not exceed 20 cubic metres per day, nor 7,300 cubic metres in any year. Water will be used for maintaining water levels in lakes.   A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Hill and Moor Landfill Site Office, between 11th June and 16th July 1998.   Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Riversmeet House, Newtown Industrial Estate, Northway Lane, Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire GL20 8JG, before the end of the said period.
