New Roads and Street Works Act 1991, section 58

Notice of Substantial Road Works

Three months’ advance notice is hereby given that Derbyshire County Council as Highway Authority intends to carry out Substantial Works for Road Purposes.   The streets in which these works will take place are: Civic Way (A514), Swadlincote and A6, Hallsteads. Works are expected to affect the carriageway between Midland Road and Church Street (B586) and carriageway at the junction with Dale Road.   Works are expected to commence on 17th August 1998. The works notified will include the following: planing and resurfacing of the above carriageways.   Subject to the exemptions in the Act and Regulations under it, no street works may be executed for a period of 12 months from the completion of the works described above without the consent of the said Highway Authority, which shall not be unreasonably withheld.   For queries telephone 01629 580000, extension 7527.
