The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions hereby gives notice that he proposes to make the following Orders:   1. An Order under sections 10 and 41 of the Highways Act 1980 which will provide that 4 slip roads which he proposes to construct at Woodleigh Junction in the county of Devon, shall become trunk roads from the date when the Order comes into force.   2. An Order under sections 12, 14 and 125 of the Highways Act 1980, in relation to the A30 Trunk Road at Woodleigh Junction in the county of Devon, which will:   (1) authorise him to:       (a) improve highways;       (b) stop up highways;       (c) construct new highways;       (d) stop up private means of access to premises; and       (e) provide new means of access to premises; all in the vicinity of Woodleigh Junction in the county of Devon; and   (2) provide for the transfer of the new highway to Devon County Council as highway authority as from the date on which he notifies them that it has been completed and is open to traffic.   Copies of the draft Orders, the associated plans and the environmental statement which the Secretary of State has published in relation to the construction of the new highways and the improvement of existing highways referred to in the draft Orders numbered 1 and 2 above, may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours from 21st May 1998 until 14th August 1998, or within 12 weeks from the date of first publication of this notice if that period expires later, at the Highways Agency, Room 414, Tollgate House, Houlton Street, Bristol BS2 9DJ; the Highways Agency, Falcon Road, Sowton, Exeter, Devon EX2 7LB; the Highways Agency, Room 5/46A, St. Christopher House, Southwark Street, London SE1 0TE; Devon County Council, County Hall, Topsham Road, Exeter EX2 4QW; Exeter Central Library, City Centre, Exeter, Devon EX4 3PQ; Cheriton Bishop Post Office, Cheriton Bishop, Exeter, Devon EX6 6JE; Tedburn St. Mary Post Office, Tedburn St. Mary, Exeter, Devon EX6 6EZ.   Any person may object to the making of these Orders not later than 14th August 1998, or within 12 weeks from the date of first publication of this notice if that period expires later, by notice to the Secretary of State at the Highways Agency, Room 5/03, Tollgate House, Houlton Street, Bristol BS2 9DJ, quoting reference HA/065/023/000001, and stating the grounds of objection. In the preparation of an objection it should be borne in mind that the substance of any objection or representation may be communicated to other people who may be affected by it. G. P.
