Notice of application for a licence to obstruct or impede the flow of an inland water by means of impounding works

Take notice that The Duberley Partnership, of Harts Barn Craft Centre, Monmouth Road, Longhope, Gloucestershire GL17 0QD, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to obstruct or impede the flow of Carris Brook at National Grid Reference ST 677 186 at Harts Barn Craft Centre. Water will be impounded by earth embankment incorporating stone spillway and the object of the impounding works is to create a conservation pond. (The capacity of the reservoir at overflow level will be 1,850 cubic metres).   A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Harts Barn Craft Centre, Longhope, between 8th May 1998 and 12th June 1998.   Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Midlands Region, Lower Severn Area, Riversmeet House, Newtown Industrial Estate, Northway Lane, Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire GL17 0QD, before the end of the said period.
