Notice of application for a licence to abstract water
Take notice that Dales Water Services Ltd, Witherick Lane, Melmerby, Ripon, North Yorkshire HG4 5JB, on behalf of Richard Baybutt Ltd, Moss House Farm, Ben Lane, Bickerstaffe, Ormskirk, Liverpool, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from a borehole in the sandstone at National Grid Reference Point SD 453 022, at Moss House Farm, Ben Lane, Bickerstaffe, Ormskirk, Liverpool. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 92 cubic metres per hour, 1,840 cubic metres per day, and 102,727 cubic metres per year. The water will be used for spray irrigation of arable crops between April and September each year. A copy of the application and of any map, plans or other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Moss House Farm, Ben Lane, Bickerstaffe, Ormskirk, Liverpool, between 22nd April 1998 and 22nd May 1998. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Southern Area, Mirwell, Carrington Lane, Sale M33 5NL, before the end of the said period.
