The A590 Trunk Road (Lindal-in-Furness) (Extension of 40 m.p.h. Speed Limit)

The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions hereby gives notice that he intends to make an Order under sections 84(1)(a) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.   The effect of the Order will be to extend the 40 m.p.h. speed limit on a length of the A590 Ulverston Road, through Lindal-in-Furness, from a point 105 metres west of its junction with the C5018 (London Road) for a distance of 84 metres in a westerly direction.   A copy of the proposed draft Order, a plan illustrating the proposal and a statement explaining the Secretary of State’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected during opening hours at Lindal-in-Furness Post Office. The documents may also be seen at or obtained by application to, the Director, The Highways Agency, PO Box 206, City House, New Station Street, Leeds LS1 4UR.   Any person wishing to object to the Secretary of State’s proposal to make this Order should send a written statement of their objection and the grounds thereof to the Director’s address given above.
