Notice of application to stop up sections of public highway in Nelson, Lancashire
Notice is hereby given that the Borough Council of Pendle acting as agent for and on behalf of Lancashire County Council, the Highway Authority for the area, intends to apply to Pennine Magistrates’ Court sitting at the Court House, Colne Road, Reedley, Burnley, on 7th May 1998, at 9.45 a.m., for an Order under section 116 of the Highways Act 1980, that the highways or section of highways described in the Schedule hereto being situated in Nelson, Lancashire, be authorised to be stopped up on the grounds that they are unnecessary. The effect of this Order is shown in the plan which is attached to this Order and which may be inspected, free of charge, at the Town Hall, Nelson, Lancashire, during normal office hours.
Schedule
The whole of Back Rigg Street; Pine Street, Back Pine Street, Fir Street and back Fir Street, from the junction with Southfield Street, for a distance of approximately 36 metres in a north-westerly direction to the junction with an unnamed highway running from Rigg Street to Chapelhouse Road; Unnamed highway running from Rigg Street to Chapelhouse Road, Nelson.
