Transfer of General Business

Notice is hereby given that Andrew Weir Insurance Company Limited applied to the Treasury on 20th March 1998, for their approval, pursuant to Schedule 2C of the Insurance Companies Act 1982, to transfer to AGF/L’Escaut De-Schelde all of its agency business written in Belgium prior to 20th March 1998.   Copies of the statement of particulars of the proposed transfer are available for inspection at No. 1 London Bridge, London SE1 9QL, from Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and at S A Henri J Moerkerke & Co NV, Rue des Augustins 1, 1000 Brussels, Belgium, from Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., until 28th April 1998.   Written representations concerning the transfer may be sent to HM Treasury, Insurance Directorate, 1 Victoria Street, London SW1H 0ET, before 29th May 1998. The Treasury will not determine the application until after considering any representations made to them before that date.
