Notice of application for a licence to abstract water

Take notice that Adelphi Enterprises Limited, c/o Slaley Hall Golf Club, of Slaley, Hexham, Northumberland, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from an un-named stream at National Grid Reference NY 981 555 near Colpitts Grange, Slaley.   The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 18 cubic metres per hour, 180 cubic metres per day, 10,200 cubic metres (per year) between November and April each year. The water will be used to fill a reservoir during the winter for abstraction for spray irrigation of the golf course in the summer.   A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Slaley Hall Golf Club, between 30th March 1998 and 30th April 1998.   Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Tyneside House, Skinnerburn Road, Newcastle Business Park, Newcastle upon Tyne NE4 7AR, before the end of the said period.
