Notice of application for consent under Schedule 10

Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Schedule 10 to the Water Resources Act 1991 (as amended by the Environment Act 1995) that the following application has been made to the Environment Agency, South West Region.   Wessex Water Services Ltd. have applied for consent to discharge from a new Sewage Treatment Works at Swanage, which will provide fine screening, secondary treatment and disinfection. This will replace the existing crude sewage discharge. The treated effluent will be discharged through the existing outfall into Swanage Bay.   Reference: 400435. Site Name: Swanage STW. Receiving Water: Swanage Bay. Outlet NGR: SZ 0350 7870.   A copy of the application may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at the Agency Offices at Manley House, Kestrel Way, Sowton Industrial Estate, Exeter, Devon EX2 7LQ, and Rivers House, Sunrise Business Park, Higher Shaftesbury Road, Blandford, Dorset DT11 8ST.   Any person who wishes to make representations or requires further details about the application should do so in writing to: Regional Water Quality Manager, Environment Agency, South West Region, Manley House, Kestrel Way, Sowton Industrial Estate, Devon EX2 7LQ, quoting the above reference number, not later than 30th April 1998.
