Notice of proposal to grant an extension to a Public Gas Transporters Licence

The Director General of Gas Supply, pursuant to section 7(5) of the Gas Act 1986, hereby gives notice that she proposes to grant an extension to a licence under that section held by AGAS Developments Limited whose registered office is situated at 30 Buckingham Gate, London SW1E 6NN.   The extension, if awarded, will authorise the above-named to convey gas through pipes to any premises in the areas briefly described below and shown on maps previously submitted to the Director General. Areas: Hendredenny Drive, Hendredenny Park, Caerphilly Cippenham Lane, Cippenham, Berkshire Bowden Park, Fort Austin Avenue, Crownhill, Plymouth, Devon Dinas Road, Ynyshir, Porth, Rhondda Cynon Taff Warwick Road, Wellesbourne, Warwickshire Hydestile & King George V Hospitals, Salt Lane, Hydestile, Godalming, Surrey Briton Lodge, Ashby Road, Moira, Leicestershire Glimerton Road, Edinburgh, Lothian Sandhill Park, Bishops Lydiard, Taunton, Somerset Cefn Yr Hendy, Miskin, Mid Glamorgan St. Annes Park, Virginia Water, Surrey Caerphilly Road, Ystrad Mynach, Phase 3, Mid Glamorgan Polesden Lane, Sendmarsh, Woking, Surrey Colney Hatch Lane, Friern Lane, Barnet, London MAFF HRI site, Worthing Road, Littlehampton, West Sussex Court Farm Phase 2, Oakland Manor, Halewood, Runcorn, Merseyside Mill Road, Cranfield, Bedfordshire   Copies of these maps are available for inspection at the Office of Gas Supply at the address shown below.   The Director General is of the opinion that the above-named applicant intends to carry on the activities which may be authorised by its licence under section 7 of the Act in the areas named, and that the granting of the extension will be calculated (a) to secure that reasonable demands for gas in Great Britain are met, and (b) to secure effective competition in the supply of gas conveyed through pipes.   Any representations or objections with respect to the proposed extensions may be made in writing and delivered to the Director General of Gas Supply, Stockley House, 130 Wilton Road, London SW1V 1LQ, no later than 26th March 1998.
