ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
The A52 Trunk Road (Radcliffe Road) (Closure of Gaps in the Central Reservation and Prohibition of U-turns) Order 1998
The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions hereby gives notice that he has made an Order under sections 1(1) and 2(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 on a length of the A52 Trunk Road, Radcliffe Road in Nottinghamshire. The effect of the Order is to close the gaps in the central reservation (a) opposite the junction of Bassingfield Lane with the trunk road, and (b) 400 metres west of that junction, and to prohibit U-turns through the gap in the central reservation 800 metres west of the junction of Bassingfield Lane with the trunk road from either the eastbound carriageway to the westbound carriageway or from the westbound carriageway to the eastbound carriageway. Any person who desires to question the validity of, or of any provision contained in, the Order on the ground that it is not within the powers with respect to the Order conferred by the above Act, or on the ground that any requirement of, or of any instrument made under, any provision of that Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within 6 weeks of 9th March 1998, apply to the High Court for the suspension of or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein. A copy of the Order may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of Nottinghamshire County Council, Trent Bridge House, Fox Road, West Bridgford, Nottingham; at The Library, New Road, Radcliffe-on-Trent, Nottinghamshire; or obtained by application to the Highways Agency, Network and Customer Services (Midland), Heron House, 48-53 Goldington Road, Bedford MK40 3LL.
