Application under section 1 of the Pipelines Act 1962 for a Cross Country Pipeline for the Aldbrough Gas Storage Site
Due to original public notices not appearing on coincident dates in several publications it has been necessary to readvertise, herewith International Generating Company (UK) Ltd. hereby give notice, in accordance with section 1 of the Pipe-lines Act 1962 and regulation 7(3) of the Electricity and Pipeline Works (Assessment of Environmental Effects) Regulations 1990, that an application has been made to the Secretary for Trade and Industry for the grant of authorisation for the construction of a cross-country pipeline. The proposed 610 millimetre diameter pipeline, which is to be for the conveyance of natural gas, will start at the existing BG Transco NTS pipeline located 1.25 kilometres south of Sproatley, Holderness, East Yorkshire, and end at the proposed Aldbrough Gas Storage site, east of the B1242 Aldbrough Road, 2.5 kilometres south of Aldbrough village. The pipeline will be owned by International Generating Company (UK) Ltd. Copies of the map, on which the proposed route of the pipeline is delineated and which will run with limits of deviation of 200 metres on either side and the Environmental Statement (which accompanied the application) can be inspected during normal office hours at the Department of Trade and Industry, 1 Victoria Street, London SW1H 0ET, telephone 0171-215 5151, and at the offices of the following local authority: East Riding of Yorkshire Council, Planning, Environment and Technical Services, County Hall, Beverley, East Riding of Yorkshire HU17 9BA. Objections to this application should be made in writing, setting out the grounds of objection and bearing the reference AAC/2/77 and should be sent to the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry, at 1 Victoria Street, London SW1H 0ET, marked for the attention of G. Cobb, to arrive no later than 6th April 1998.
