Notice of proposal to grant a public gas transporters licence
The Director General of Gas Supply, pursuant to section 7(5) of the Gas Act 1986,
hereby gives notice that she proposes to grant an extension to a licence under that
section held by AGAS Developments Limited, whose registered office is situated at
30 Buckingham Gate, London SW1E 6NN.
The extension, if awarded, will authorise the above-named to convey gas through
pipes to any premises in the areas briefly described below and shown on maps previously
submitted to the Director General.
Areas:
Beaulieu Park, Chelmsford, Essex.
Hapton Way, near Crawshawbooth, Rossendale, Lancashire.

“Ashfield Grange”, Sykes Lane, Saxilby, Lincoln, Lincolnshire.
College Field, Hykeham Road, Lincoln, Lincolnshire.
Trearddur Road, Treaddur Bay, Anglesey, Gwynedd.
Castle Nurseries, Station Road/Castle Gardens, Chipping Camden, Gloucestershire.
Shields Drive, Motherwell, Strathclyde, North Lanarkshire.
Harmston Hall, Church Lane, Harmston, Lincoln, Lincolnshire.

Rugby Close, Market Harborough, Leicestershire.
Copies of these maps are available for inspection at the Office of Gas Supply at
the address shown below.
The Director General is of the opinion that the above-named applicant intends to
carry on the activities which may be authorised by its licence under section 7 of
the Act in the areas named, and that the granting of the extension will be calculated:
(a) to secure that reasonable demands for gas in Great Britain are met; and
(b) to secure effective competition in the supply of gas conveyed through pipes.
Any representations or objections with respect to the proposed extensions may be
made in writing and delivered to the Director General of Gas Supply, Stockley House,
130 Wilton Road, London SW1V 1LQ, no later than 13th March 1998.
