The Borough of Tamworth (Gillway Lane) (Revocation of 40 m.p.h. Speed Limit) Order 1998

Notice is hereby given that the Borough Council of Tamworth, pursuant to arrangements made under section 101 of the Local Government Act 1972, with the County Council of Stafford in exercise of powers conferred on that County Council under section 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, propose to make an Order the effect of which will revoke the speed limit of 40 m.p.h. along Gillway Lane.   A copy of the draft Order, together with a plan showing the affected length of road and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be examined at Marmion House, Lichfield Street, Tamworth, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Mondays to Fridays.   If you wish to object to the proposed Order you should send the grounds for your objection to the undersigned by 9th March 1998.
