Ministry of Housing and Local Government Provisional Order Confirmation (Greater London Parks and Open Spaces) Act 1967

Notice is hereby given that an Inspector instructed by the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions will attend at 10 a.m., on Tuesday, 17th February 1998, at The Town Hall, Wandsworth High Street, Wandsworth, London SW18 2PU, to hold a Public Local Inquiry into the application by Wandsworth Borough Council for consent under the Ministry of Housing and Local Government Provisional Order Confirmation (Greater London Parks and Open Spaces) Act 1967 to the works on part of Tooting Bec Common as part of the proposed refurbishment of Tooting Bec Lido. There will be an evening session on Thursday, 19th February 1998, commencing at 7 p.m., at the above-mentioned venue.   It is desirable that all persons interested should attend the inquiry. Any persons desirous of being heard on the subject matter of the application may, at the discretion of the Inspector, give evidence at the inquiry or may arrange for someone to do so on his behalf on the date mentioned above. Copies of the application by Wandsworth Borough Council, the applicant’s statement in support of the application, and a plan showing the common land affected and details of the proposals will be available for inspection at The Town Hall, Wandsworth High Street, London SW18 2PU, from the date of this notice until the opening of the public inquiry.
