Notice of application for a licence to abstract water

Take notice that Great Farm Partners, of The Estate Office, Holkham, Wells Next-the-Sea, Norfolk, are applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from the River Burn between National Grid References TF 8343 4388 and TF 8414 4280, at Burnham Overy, Norfolk.   The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 200 cubic metres per hour, 4,800 cubic metres per day, 226,000 cubic metres between 1st November and 31st March each year.   The water will be stored in 1 or more reservoirs for subsequent abstraction for spray irrigation.   A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at The Estate Office, Holkham, Wells Next-the-Sea, Norfolk, between 6th February and 8th March 1998.   Any person who wishes to make representations about this application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Cobham Road, Ipswich, Suffolk IP3 9JE, before the end of the said period.
