Notice of application for a licence to abstract water

Take notice that J. S. Dakin & Co., of Western Mill Farm, Sutton-on-Trent, Newark, Nottinghamshire NG23 6TS, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from two catchpits at National Grid References SK 8574 5900 and SK 8640 5896 at Brills Farm, Norton Disney, North Kesteven, District of Lincolnshire. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 91 cubic metres per hour, 1,820 cubic metres per day, 44,000 cubic metres per year, between April and October each year. The water will be used for spray irrigation of arable crops.   A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Brills Farm, Norton Disney between 30th January and 6th March 1998.   Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Licensing Section, Trentside Offices, Scarrington Road, West Bridgeford, Nottingham NG2 5FA, before the end of the said period.
