Notice of application for a licence to abstract water

Take notice that Viktor Achter Ltd., of Webber Road, Burnley, Lancashire, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from the Lower Coal Measures at National Grid Reference SD 8170 3130 at Webber Road, off Billington Road, Burnley.   The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 41 cubic metres per hour, 981 cubic metres per day and 250,000 cubic metres between 1st January and 31st December each year. The water will be used for industrial process dyeing and finishing.   A copy of the application, and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Reception, Viktor Achter Ltd., Webber Road, Burnley, between 31st January 1998 and 2nd March 1998.   Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, PO Box 519, South Preston PR5 8GD, before the end of the said period.
