Notice of application for a licence to abstract water
Take notice that Anglian Water Services Limited, of Endurance House, Chivers Way, Histon, Cambridge CB4 4ZR, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from the River Witham at National Grid Reference TF 279 474 in the Parish of Holland Fen with Brothertoft in the district of South Holland in the county of Lincolnshire. The proposed quantities to be abstracted are 10,000 cubic metres in any day and 3,000,000 cubic metres in any year. The water will be used for public water supply and would be supported by the Trent-Witham-Ancholme transfer scheme. The abstraction will be licensed within the quantities specified for Anglian Water Services, licence no. 4/29/4S/53, for abstraction at the existing Cadney Intake on the River Ancholme. There will be no change to the allocation of the Trent-Witham-Ancholme transfer scheme for public water supply. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reaonable hours at the address given above and at Gipsey Bridge Post Office, Boston, Lincolnshire, between 23rd January 1998 and 20th February 1998. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Envoronment Agency, Anglian Region, Northern Area, Waterside House, Waterside North, Lincoln LN2 5HA, before the end of the said period.
