Notice of Direction under Section 11

Notice is hereby given, pursuant to section 12(8) of the Insurance Companies Act 1982 (“the Act”), that the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry has given a direction under section 11 of the Act to Orion Personal Insurances Limited. The direction provides that the Company shall cease to be authorised to effect contracts of insurance in general business classes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17 within the United Kingdom as of 1st January 1998, and was given at the request of the Company.
