THE ELECTRICITY WORKS (ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT) (SCOTLAND) REGULATIONS 2000

Further to the notice of an application for consent to construct and operate a wind farm in the East Lammermuir Plateau (Central Grid Reference NT 655 703) and for a direction under Section 57(2) of the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997 that planning permission for the development be deemed to be granted. The installed capacity of the proposed generating station would be 33MW comprising 11 turbines with a ground to blade tip height of no more than 125 metres.

Notice is hereby given that additional information has been received by Scottish Ministers on this application. Copies of this information have been forwarded to East Lothian Council, John Muir House, Brewery Park, Haddington, East Lothian EH41 3HD and the Scottish Borders Council, Council Headquarters, Newton St. Boswells, Melrose TD6 0SA to be made available for public inspection by being placed on the planning register. However, no further public notice will be issued.

Any representations should be made in writing to The Scottish Government, Energy Consents Unit, 4th Floor, 5 Atlantic Quay, 150 Broomielaw, Glasgow G2 8LU or emailed to representations@scotland.gsi.gov.uk identifying the proposal and specifying grounds for objection or support, not later than 17th October 2013 .

Representations should be dated and should clearly state the name (in block capitals) full return email and postal address of those making representation. Only representations sent by email to the address stipulated will receive acknowledgement.

All previous representations received in relation to this development remain valid.

Fair Procesing Notice

The Scottish Government Energy Consents and Deployment Unit process applications under The Electricity Act 1989. During the consultation process letters of representation can be sent to Scottish Ministers in support of or objecting to these applications.

Should Scottish Ministers call a Public Local Inquiry (PLI), copies of these representations will be sent to the Directorate of Planning and Environmental Appeals for the Reporter to consider during the inquiry.

These representations will be posted on their website with personal email address, signature and home telephone number redacted (blacked out).

Copies of representations will also be issued to the developer on request, again with email address, signature and home telephone number redacted.
