NOTICE UNDER REGULATION 17

The proposed development at Mount Lothian Moss, Penicuik, is subject to assessment under the Town And Country Planning (Environmental Impact Assessment) (Scotland) Regulations 2011

Notice is hereby given that an environmental statement has been submitted to Midlothian Council by Wind Prospect Developments Limited relating to Erection of 9 wind turbines (up to 102m tip height) and associated transformers; erection of switchgear building; erection of anemometer; formation of access tracks; and associated works in respect of Mount Lothian Moss, Penicuik.

Possible decisions relating to the application are:—

(i)  approval of the application without conditions

(ii)  approval of the application with conditions

(iii)  refusal of the application

A copy of the environmental statement, the associated application and other documents submitted with the application may be inspected between 9.00am and 5.00pm Mondays to Thursdays, and 9.00am and 3.30pm on Fridays in the register of planning applications kept by the planning authority for the area at Fairfield House, 8 Lothian Road, Dalkeith and also at www.midlothian.gov.uk during the period of 28 days beginning with the date of this notice.

Copies of the Environmental Statement may be purchased at a cost of £300 from: Wind Prospect Developments Ltd, 13 Rutland Street, Edinburgh, EH1 2AE..A copy of the Non-Technical Summary can also be obtained free of charge from the above address.

Any person who wishes to make representations to Midlothian Council about the environmental statement should make them in writing to the Council at :Development Management, Corporate Resources, Midlothian Council, Fairfield House, 8 Lothian Road, Dalkeith, EH22 3ZN or via the comments function on the online planning page at www.midlothian.gov.uk.
