NOTICE OF SUBMISSION OF FURTHER ENVIRONMENTAL INFORMATION
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING (ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT) (SCOTLAND) REGULATIONS 1999 (AS AMENDED)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT E.ON UK Renewables Ltd has submitted Supplementary Environmental Information (SEI) under the Town and Country Planning (Environmental Impact Assessment) (Scotland) Regulations 1999 (as amended) to the Environmental Statement that accompanied its application dated 31 January 2006 for planning permission for a wind farm consisting of 18 turbines since amended to 14 turbines at Auchencorth Moss, Harlaw Muir Road, Penicuik, Midlothian to Midlothian Council as amended by Supplementary Environmental Information which was advertised on 14th and 15th May 2009. The application was refused and is the subject of a planning appeal to the Scottish Ministers which will be heard at a public inquiry, which it is anticipated will commence on 19 January 2010.
The SEI relates to further bat survey work, further bird survey work, the production of two additional photomontages and peat correction material.
Members of the public can view the SEI together with the Environmental Statement and previously submitted and advertised Supplementary Environmental Information at the following locations until 21st December 2009 during normal office hours:
Midlothian Council, Midlothian House, Buccleuch Street, Dalkeith EH22 1DN
and
Penicuik Public Library, 3 Bellman’s Rd, Penicuik EH26 0AB
Copies of the SEI can be purchased at a cost of £250 (hard copy) or £15 (CD version) from Entec UK Ltd, Northumbria House, Regent Centre, Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne NE3 3PX (f.a.o G Hughes) so long as stocks last.
Any persons wishing to make representations on the SEI can do so by writing to: the Directorate for Planning and Environmental Appeals, 4 The Courtyard, Callendar Business Park, Falkirk; marked for the attention of Colin Bell. All representations must be received by no later than 21st December 2009.
Any representations received will be copied to E.ON UK Renewables Ltd and other main parties to the Inquiry.
