DIVERSION AND STOPPING UP ORDER
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING (SCOTLAND) ACT 1997
EAST DUNBARTONSHIRE COUNCIL (RIGHTS OF WAY AT BOTHLIN BURN, LENZIE) (DIVERSION AND STOPPING UP) ORDER 2009
East Dunbartonshire Council hereby give notice that they have confirmed an Order under Section 207 of the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997 authorising (i) the diversion of a section of the right of way lying generally to the east of the Bothlin Burn, Lenzie (“the Eastern Right of Way”) and (ii) the stopping up of a section of the right of way lying generally to the west of the Bothlin Burn, Lenzie (“the Western Right of Way”). The Order has been confirmed as an unopposed Order.
The effect of the Order is to (i) divert that section of the Eastern Right of Way which commences at a point 40 metres south of Garngaber Viaduct for 181 metres in a south easterly direction and runs to a point 150 metres north of the concrete bridge crossing the Forth and Clyde Canal feeder and (ii) stop up that section of the Western Right of Way south of Garngaber Road and east of Seven Sisters, Lenzie from a point 45 metres north of Garngaber Viaduct running southeast for 108 metres.
A copy of the Order and relevant plans showing the sections of the rights of way affected may be inspected at the offices of:
(i) The Head of Legal & Administration Services, Tom Johnston House, Civic Way, Kirkintilloch, G66 4TJ;
(ii) The Head of Planning, Development and Property Assets, The Triangle, Kirkintilloch Road, Bishopbriggs, G64 2TR;
and also at
(iii) Lenzie Library, 13/15 Alexandra Avenue, Lenzie, G66 5BG
by any person, free of charge, during office hours.
