The Highland Council has received a planning application accompanied by an Environmental Statement for a Temporary Borrow Pit at Bhlaraidh, Glen Moriston, Highland to be used in association with the proposed Beauly – Denny 400Kv overhead line, if consented. The applicant is Scottish Hydro Electric Transmission Ltd (SHETL).
Copies of the Planning Application and Environmental Statement can be inspected during normal office hours at the following locations:-

Copies of the Environmental Statement may be purchased at a cost of £20 for the written document or £10 on CD by writing to SHETL Inveralmond House, 200 Dunkeld Road, Perth. Copies of the Non Technical Summary are available free of charge from SHETL (Tel 01738 456660).
The application is advertised as a planning application accompanied by an Environmental Statement.
Any person wishing to make representations to the Highland Council should make them in writing to the Director of Planning and Development, Highland Council, Glenurquhart Road, Inverness, IV3 5NX within a period of 28 days beginning with the date of the publication of this notice on the 1st May 2009. For the avoidance of doubt the 28 day period for making representations shall end at the close of business on Friday the 29 May 2009.
