NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF LOCAL PLAN
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING (SCOTLAND) ACT 1997
THE WEST LOTHIAN LOCAL PLAN
On 13 January 2009 West Lothian Council by resolution adopted the above-named local plan.
Certified copies of the plan and of the resolution, together with certified copies of the report of the local plan inquiry, the council’s statements prepared following the consideration of the report, and of the council’s statement of the planning authority’s decision with respect to each objection containing reasons for the decision, have been deposited for inspection free of charge at all libraries in West Lothian and all Council Information Services (CIS) offices as well as at County Buildings, Linlithgow and West Lothian House, Livingston all during normal opening hours.

The local plan became operative on 13 January 2009, but if any person aggrieved by the plan desires to question its validity on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by Part II of the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997, or that any requirement of the said Part II or any regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to adoption of the plan, they may, within six weeks from 29 January 2009, make an application to the Court of Session under section 238 of the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997.
