ABERDEEN CITY COUNCIL – GLASHIEBURN FLOOD PREVENTION SCHEME 2007

Notice is hereby given under paragraph 8 of the Second Schedule of the above Act that Aberdeen City Council has made and Scottish Ministers have confirmed the Glashieburn Flood Prevention Scheme 2007 under Section 4 (1) of the Flood Prevention (Scotland) Act 1961, as amended.

The general effect of the scheme is to reduce flooding from the Glashieburn in the vicinity of Lochside Drive, Aberdeen.

The basin will include appropriate flood embankments to be constructed on its boundaries comprising of 1:2 side slopes and an adequate crest level for the containment of the design water level. An automated hydraulic control will be located at the outlet of the attenuation basin to control flood flows.

A copy of the Scheme and Plans may be inspected by any person, free of charge, at Aberdeen City Council Offices, St Nicholas House, 2nd Floor Reception, Broad Street, Aberdeen during normal opening hours until 31 January 2008.
