WATER ENVIRONMENT AND WATER SERVICES (SCOTLAND) ACT 2003

 THE WATER ENVIRONMENT (CONTROLLED ACTIVITIES) (SCOTLAND) REGULATIONS 2005 ("the 2005 Regulations")

Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Regulation 13 of the 2005 Regulations, that an application has been made to the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) by Scottish Water for authorisation to carry out the following controlled activities, namely: -

Reference Number CAR/L/1021780 - The intermittent discharge of screened sewage effluent from a combined sewer overflow and from an emergency overflow at Glencoe Wastewater Pumping Station, Glencoe to Loch Leven at National Grid Reference NN 0929 5881

Reference Number CAR/L/1021781 - The intermittent discharge of screened sewage effluent from a combined sewer overflow and from an emergency overflow at South Ballachulish Wastewater Pumping Station, South Ballachulish to the River Laroch at National Grid Reference NN 0786 5837.

Any person affected or likely to be affected by, or having an interest in, the applications may make representations about the applications to SEPA in writing within 28 days beginning with the date of this advertisement, at the following address: The Registry Department, SEPA, Graesser House, Fodderty Way, Dingwall Business Park, Dingwall, IV15 9XB quoting relevant reference number CAR/L/1021780 or CAR/L/1021781.

A copy of the applications may be inspected free of charge, at the above address, between 9:30 am and 4:30pm Monday to Friday, or by prior arrangement at the SEPA Fort William Office, Carr's Corner Industrial Estate, Lochybridge, Fort William, (telephone number 01397 704426) and at Dunvegan Post office, Dunvegan, Isle of Skye.

Written representations received within 28 days of this advertisement will be taken into consideration in determining the applications.  Any such representations will be placed in a public register unless the person making them requests that they should not be.  Where such a request is made there will be included in the register a statement indicating that representations have been made which have been the subject of such a request
