* The area covered by the new Local Plan comprises The Highland Council Wards 1 and 5 and is shown in the documents that are available for inspection. You can check which Council Ward a postal address falls in on our website. The new Local Plan area substantially coincides with the combined areas of the North West Sutherland, Tongue & Farr, Golspie & Lairg and South & East Sutherland Local Plans. Its area also coincides with some small parts of the areas covered by the Caithness, Ross & Cromarty East and Wester Ross Local Plans. The new Local Plan, once adopted, will therefore replace these seven older Local Plans but only in so far as they relate to any part of the area of the new Sutherland Local Plan. Please contact us as above if you have any queries about the area covered by the new Local Plan.
