TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING (SCOTLAND) ACT 1997

THE NUMBER 25 CESSNOCK ROAD, GALSTON TREE PRESERVATION ORDER 2007

East Ayrshire Council, acting under the powers conferred on them by Sections 160 and 161 of the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997, and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf and subject to the Forestry Act 1967 on 9 July 2007, confirmed The Number 25 Cessnock Road Tree Preservation Order 2007 in respect of a tree at 25 Cessnock Road, Galston having been made because the tree is around 250 years old and has historic significance as the remnant of part of the grand avenue of trees that originally extended south from Loudoun Castle across the Irvine Valley to the Belvedere on the rise south of Cemetery Road, Galston. The tree is a fine specimen and contributes significantly to the local character of this part of Galston and to the visual amenity of properties at Cessnock Road and Sorn Place.

A Certified copy of the said Tree Preservation Order and relative map may be inspected at the Planning and Building Control Division, Croft Street, Kilmarnock between the hours of 9.00a.m.and 5.00p.m. from Monday to Thursday and 9.00a.m. to 4.00p.m. on Fridays.
