NOTICE OF PRE-INQUIRY MEETING
FINALISED WEST LOTHIAN LOCAL PLAN 2005
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING (SCOTLAND) ACT 1997
The Pre-Inquiry Meeting for the Public Local Inquiry into the Finalised West Lothian Local Plan 2005 will be held in the Dalyell Suite, County Buildings, Linlithgow, on Thursday 27 April 2006, at 11.00 am.
The Meeting will be chaired by Mr Dilwyn Thomas, one of the Reporters appointed to conduct the public local inquiry. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the arrangements and procedures for the forthcoming inquiry. This will include:
outlining the scope and format of the inquiry, and the provisional general programme;
explaining the main procedural steps to be followed in the build up to, and during, the inquiry;
setting the final dates for the pre-inquiry exchange of material by and between parties, including the exchange of statements of case and participation, documents, precognitions and statements of evidence;
agreeing he means of achieving these exchanges; and
answering any queries that objectors may have on procedural matters.
