POLLUTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL (SCOTLAND) REGULATIONS 2000

In accordance with paragraph 5 of Schedule 4 to the above Regulations, Notice is hereby given that application has been made to the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) for a Permit under regulation 7 of the Regulations by Clear Water D.C. Ltd in respect of activities which are proposed to be carried out, namely disposal of waste, in an installation at 100 Boden Street, Dalmarnock, Glasgow G40 3PX.

The application contains a description of any foreseeable significant effects of emissions from the installation on the environment.

The application may be inspected, free of charge, at SEPA, 5 Redwood Crescent, Peel Park, East Kilbride G74 5PP during normal office hours. Please quote Reference Number PPC/A/1004491.

Please note that the application contains details of:

*  A site report describing the condition of the site

*  The raw and auxiliary materials and other substances to be used in or generated by the carrying out of the activities

*  The nature, quantity and source of foreseeable emissions from the installation into each environmental medium, and a description of any foreseeable significant effects of the emissions on the environment and on human health

*  The proposed technology and other techniques for preventing, or where that is not practicable, reducing and rendering harmless, emissions from the installation

*  How the best available techniques are applied to the operation of the installation

*  The proposed measures to be taken to monitor the emissions

*  A description of the measures to be taken for the prevention and recovery of waste generated by the operation of the installation

*  A description of any proposed additional measures to be taken to ensure that all appropriate preventive measures are taken against pollution, in particular through the application of the best available techniques and to ensure that no significant pollution is caused

*  A non-technical summary

Written representation concerning this application may be made to the SEPA at the above address, or sent to e-mail address ppc.applications@sepa.org.uk and if received within 28 days of this Notice, will be taken into consideration in determining the application. Any such representations made by any person will be entered into a public register unless that person requests in writing that they should not be so entered. Where such a request is made, there will be included in the register a statement indicating that representations have been made and that they are subject to this request.
