THE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT (SCOTLAND) REGULATIONS 1999

PROPOSED WIND FARM, LAND AT CARCANT BETWEEN B7007 AND B709, HERIOT

Notice is hereby given that an environmental statement has been submitted to Scottish Borders Council by AMEC Project Investments Ltd relating to the planning application in respect of permission for a wind farm comprising 6 wind turbines and 1 wind monitoring mast with control building, access track, temporary construction compound and ancillary development.

A copy of the environmental statement and the associated planning application may be inspected between the hours of 8.45 am and 5.00 pm Monday to Thursday and 8.45 am and 3.30 pm on Friday at:

Planning and Economic Development Scottish Borders Council Council Headquarters Newtown St Boswells TD6 0SA

and

Planning and Economic Development Scottish Borders Council Area Planning Office Albert Place Galashiels TD1 3DL

and at Galashiels library during normal opening hours.

The period available for inspection is 28 days from the date of publication of this notice. Copies of the environmental statement may be purchased from AMEC Wind Energy, Bridge End, Hexham, Northumberland NE46 4NU at a cost of £200 in hard copy format or free on CD ROM.

Any representation should be made in writing to the Director of Planning and Development, Council Headquarters, Newtown St Boswells TD6 0SA and should be received within the period referred to above.
