On 30 June 2005 a certified copy of the interlocutor of the Court of Session dated 29 June 2005 together with a related certified copy minute confirming the reduction of the share capital of The Alliance Trust plc by £2,200,000 pursuant to a special resolution passed on 29 April 2005 was registered with the Registrar of Companies in Scotland.
