Edinburgh Oil & Gas plc

FOR SANCTION OF A SCHEME OF ARRANGEMENT

NOTICE is hereby given that a Petition was presented to the Court of Session on 3 May 2005 by Edinburgh Oil & Gas plc, a public limited company incorporated under the Companies Acts and having its registered office at 10 Coates Crescent, Edinburgh (the “Company”) for sanction of a scheme of arrangement (the “Scheme”) under section 425 of the Companies Act 1985 between the Company and Scheme Shareholders (as defined in the Scheme) and confirmation of a reduction of capital. The following interlocutor was pronounced on 2 June 2005:-

“The Lord Ordinary, on the motion of the Petitioners, appoints the Petitioners to give notice of the dependence of the Petition, by advertisement once in The Edinburgh Gazette and once in each of The Financial Times (UK edition) and The Scotsman newspapers; appoints all parties claiming an interest to lodge answers to the Petition, if so advised, within 21 days of such advertisement.”

of which intimation is hereby given.

Any person claiming an interest may lodge answers to the Petition at the Offices of Court, Court of Session, Parliament House, Parliament Square, Edinburgh EH1 1RQ, not later than 28 June 2005.
