THE A9 TRUNK ROAD (GOLSPIE) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 200

The Scottish Ministers give notice that they propose to make the above Order, which will prohibit waiting on that length of the A9 Edinburgh—Stirling—Thurso Trunk Road in Golspie on Station Road from a point 50 metres or thereby west of the west kerbline of Church Street to a point 90 metres or thereby southwest of the southwest kerbline of Golspie Back Road.

The Order will impose the following restrictions:

NO WAITING AT ANY TIME

1.  On the following lengths of the northwest side of the A9 Edinburgh—Stirling—Thurso Trunk Road in Golspie known as Main Street:

(a)  From a point 78 metres or thereby southwest of the southwest kerbline of Seaforth Road for a distance of 143 metres or thereby in a southwesterly then westerly direction;

(b)  From a point 15 metres or thereby southwest of the extended southwest kerbline of Seaforth Road for a distance of 15 metres or thereby in a northeasterly direction;

(c)  From a point 15 metres or thereby northeast of the extended northeast kerbline of Seaforth Road for a distance of 15 metres or thereby in a southwesterly direction;

(d)  From a point 15 metres or thereby southwest of the extended southwest kerbline of Fountain Road for a distance of 15 metres or thereby in a northeasterly direction;

(e)  From a point 37 metres or thereby northeast of the extended northeast kerbline of Fountain Road for a distance of 37 metres or thereby in a southwesterly direction;

(f)  From a point 15 metres or thereby southwest of the extended southwest kerbline of the access road to Golspie High School for a distance of 15 metres or thereby in a northeasterly direction; and

(g)  From a point 21 metres or thereby northeast of the extended northeast kerbline of the access road to Golspie High School for a distance of 21 metres or thereby in a southwesterly direction.

2.  On the following lengths of the southeast side of the A9 A9 Edinburgh—Stirling—Thurso Trunk Road in Golspie known as Main Street:

(a)  From a point 55 metres or thereby west of the extended westerly kerbline of Church Street for a distance of 55 metres or thereby in an easterly direction;

(b)  From a point 20 metres or thereby east of the extened easterly kerbline of Church Street for a distance of 20 metres or thereby in a westerly direction;

(c)  From a point 49 metres or thereby northeast of the extended northeast kerbline of Hynd’s Lane, to a point 2.5 metres or thereby northeast of the extended northeast kerbline of Fountain Road; and

(d)  From a point 15 metres or thereby northeast of the extened northeast kerbline of Fountain Road northeastwards to a point 56.5 metres or thereby northeast of the extended northeast kerbline of Fountain Road.

NO WAITING BETWEEN 8.00 AM AND 6.00 PM MONDAY TO SATURDAY

1.  On the following lengths of the northwest side of the A9 Edinburgh—Stirling—Thurso Trunk Road in Golspie known as Main Street:

(a)  From a point 15 metres or thereby southwest of the extended southwest kerbline of Seaforth Road to a point 60 metres or thereby southwest of the extended southwest kerbline of Seaforth Road;

(b)  From a point 15 metres or thereby southwest of the extended southwest kerbline of Fountain Road to a point 15 metres or thereby northeast of the extended northeast kerbline of Seaforth Road;

(c)  From a point 37 metres or thereby northeast of the extended northeast kerbline of Fountain Road to a point 15 metres or thereby southwest of the extended southwest kerbline of the access road to Golspie High School; and

(d)  From a point 32.5 metres or thereby northeast of the extended northeast kerbline of the access to Golspie High School to a point 92 metres or thereby southwest of the extended southwest kerbline of Golspie Back Road West.

2.  On the following lengths of the southeast side of the A9 Edinburgh—Stirling—Thurso Trunk Road in Golspie known as Main Street:

(a)  From a point 20 metres or thereby east of the east kerbline of Church Street northeastwards to a point 52.6 metres or thereby southwest of the extended southwest kerbline of Green Lane;

(b)  From a point 9 metres or thereby southwest of the extended southwest kerbline of Green Lane to a point 25 metres or thereby southwest of the extended southwest kerbline of Green Lane;

(c)  From a point 2 metres or thereby southwest of the extended southwest kerbline of Hynd’s Lane southwestwards to a point 2.5 metres or thereby southwest of the extended kerbline of Murdo’s Lane;

(d)  From a point 11 metres or thereby northeast of the extended northeast kerbline of Hynd’s Lane to a point 14 metres or thereby of the extended northeast kerbline of Hynd’s Lane;

(e)  From a point 106.5 metres or thereby northeast of the extended northeast kerbline of Fountain Road northeastwards to a point 107.5 metres or thereby northeast of the extended northeast kerbline of Fountain Road;

(f)  From a point 137.5 metres or thereby northeast of the extended northeast kerbline of Fountain Road northeastwards to a point 143.5 metres or thereby northeast of the extended northeast kerbline of Fountain Road;

(g)  From a point 190.5 metres or thereby northeast of the extended northeast kerbline of Fountain Road northeastwards to a point 192 metres or thereby northeast of the extended northeast kerbline of Fountain Road;

(h)  From a point 25.2 metres or thereby southwest of the extended southwest kerbline of the access road to Golspie High School northeastwards to a point 3 metres or thereby northeast of the extended northeast kerbline of the access road to Golspie High Scholl; and

(i)  From a point 38 metres or thereby northeast of the extended northeast kerbline of the access road to Golspie High School northeastwards to a point 85 metres or thereby northeast of the extended northeast kerbline of the access road to Golspie High School.

WAITING LIMITED TO 2 HOURS NO RETURN WITHIN 1 HOUR

BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 8.00 AM AND 6.00 PM MONDAY TO SATURDAY

1.  On the following lengths of the southeast side of the A9 Edinburgh—Stirling—Thurso Trunk Road in Golspie known as Main Street:

(a)  From a point 25 metres or thereby southwest of the extended southwest kerbline of Green Lane southwestwards for a distance of 27.6 metres or thereby;

(b)  From a point 9 metres or thereby southwest of the extended southwest kerbline of Green Lane northeastwards to a point 2.5 metres or thereby southwest of the extended southwest kerbline of Murdo’s Lane;

(c)  From a point 2 metres or thereby southwest of the extended southwest kerbline of Hynd’s Lane, northeastwards to a point 11 metres or thereby northeast of the extended northeast kerbline of Hynd’s Lane;

(d)  From a point 14 metres or thereby northeast of the extended northeast kerbline of Hynd’s Lane, northeastwards for a distance of 35 metres or thereby;

(e)  From a point 2.5 metres or thereby northeast of the extended northeast kerbline of Fountain Road, northeastwards for a distance of 12.5 metres or thereby;

(f)  From a point 56.5 metres or thereby northeast of the extended northeast kerbline of Fountain Road northeastwards for a distance of 50 metres or thereby;

(g)  From a point 107.5 metres or thereby northeast of the extended northeast kerbline of Fountain Road northeastwards for a distance of 30 metres or thereby;

(h)  From a point 143.5 metres or thereby northeast of the extended northeast kerbline of Fountain Road northeastwards for a distance of 47 metres or thereby;

(i)  From a point 192 metres or thereby northeast of the extended northeast kerbline of Fountain Road northeastwards for a distance of 23 metres or thereby;

(j)  From a point 3 metres or thereby northeast of the extended northeast kerbline of the access road to Golspie High School northeastwards for a distance of 35 metres or thereby; and

(k)  From a point 85 metres or thereby northeast of the extended northeast kerbline of the access road to Golspie High School northeastwards for a distance of 10 metres or thereby.

2.  That length of the northeast side of the Edinburgh—Stirling—Thurso Trunk Road in Golspie known as Main Street from a point 21 metres or thereby northeast of the extended northeast kerbline of the access road to Golspie High School northeastwards for a distance of 11 metres or thereby.

DISABLED BAY

1.  That length of the southeast side of the A9 Edinburgh—Stirling—Thurso Trunk Road in Golspie known as Main Street from a point 93 metres or thereby northeast of the extended northeast kerbline of the access road to Golspie High School northeastwards for a distance of 6 metres or thereby.

POLICE PARKING BAY

1.  That length of the northwest side of the A9 Edinburgh—Stirling—Thurso Trunk Road in Golspie known as Main Street from a point 60 metres or thereby southwest of the extended southwest kerbline of Seaforth Road to a point 78 metres or thereby southwest of the extended southwest kerbline of Seaforth Road.

Full details of the proposal are contained in the Order which, together with a plan showing the lengths of road involved, a copy of the existing Orders to be revoked and a statement of the Scottish Ministers’ reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be examined free of charge during normal office hours from 22 April 2005 to 16 May 2005 at the Scottish Executive Enterprise, Transport and Lifelong Learning Department, Victoria Quay, Edinburgh; and Highland Council, Sutherland Area Office, Main Street, Golspie.

Any person wishing to object to the proposed Order should send details of the grounds for objection in writing to the Scottish Executive Enterprise, Transport and Lifelong Learning Department, Road Network Management and Maintenance Division, Victoria Quay, Edinburgh EH6 6QQ quoting reference UM/NNW/D/O/1/2 by 16 May 2005.
