The East Renfrewshire Council (Newford) Diversion Order 2004

Notice is hereby given that on 12th October 2004 The East Renfrewshire Council made the above named Order under Section 207 of the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997.

The effect of the Order will be to extinguish all public rights of access along the route of the public right of way from Field Road Busby to Eaglesham Road, Clarkston where it crosses the site for the replacement Williamwood High School at Newford, Clarkston and to divert public pedestrian access onto an alternative route using the public roads: Newford Grove and Eaglesham Road.

The Order is about to he submitted to the Scottish Ministers for confirmation or to be confirmed by East Renfrewshire Council as an unopposed order.

A copy of the order has been deposited at East Renfrewshire Council Headquarters, Eastwood Park, Rouken Glen Road, Giffnock, G46 6UG and at Clarkston and Busby Community libraries. It may be inspected at these locations free of charge between the hours of 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday at Council Headquarters; at Clarkston Library, Clarkston Road at the following times: Monday and Wednesday 10-8; Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 10-6 and Saturday 10-5 and at Busby Library, Duff Memorial Hall, Main Street at the following times: Monday 1.30-5, 6-8, Tuesday 10-1, 2-6, Wednesday 2-5, 6-8, Thursday-closed, Friday 10-1, 2-6 and Saturday 10-1, 2-5.

Any person may make representations or objections in respect of the Order by notice in writing to Mrs J A C Leonard, Head of Legal Services, East Renfrewshire Council. Council Headquarters, Eastwood Park, Rouken Glen Road, Giffnock, G46 6UG. Representations or objections must be made in writing, state the name and address of the objector and the grounds of objection and be received no later than 12th November 2004.
