The Merchant Shipping (Convention on Limitation of Liability for Maritime Claims) (Amendment) Order 1998 (S.I. 1998/1258)

The Protocol of 1996 to amend the Convention on Limitation of Liability for Maritime Claims 1976 (Cm 3581) enters into force in respect of the United Kingdom on 13th May 2004.

The Merchant Shipping (Convention on Limitation of Liability for Maritime Claims) (Amendment) Order 1988 (S.I. 1998/1258), which implements that Protocol, shall by the operation of article 1 of that Order also come into force on 13th May 2004.
