THE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT (SCOTLAND) REGULATIONS 1999

Planning Application reference 03/00426/FULRC for the erection of 16 wind turbines and associated infrastructure adjoining the existing wind farm at Novar Estate, Evanton (revised layout).

The Council has received revised proposals for the development described above - in particular, the reduction in the number of turbines from 18 to 16 and amendment of the proposed site layout. An Addendum to the Environmental Statement has been submitted for the revised proposals. The applicants are National Wind Power Limited, North Range East Lodge, Mill Road, Stanley Mills, Stanley, PH1 4QE (01738 825110).

Copies of the Planning Application, and Environmental Statement and Addendum, can be inspected during normal office hours at the following locations:

1. Area Planning and Building Control Office, 2 Achany Road, Dingwall
2. The Planning and Development Service, Council Offices, Glenurquhart Road, Inverness
3. Evanton Post Office
4. Alness Service Point

Copies of the Environmental Statement may be purchased from the applicants at the address above at a cost of £100.00. Copies of the Addendum, including a CD of a computer-generated animation from two viewpoints, are similarly available at a cost of £25.

The application is advertised under Section 34 of the above Act and as a potential departure from the provisions of the development plan, as well as being an application accompanied by an Environmental Statement.

Any person wishing to make representations to The Highland Council about the Planning Application and Environmental Statement should make them in writing to the Director of Planning and Development, Council Offices, Glenurquhart Road, Inverness, IV3 5NX within a period of 28 days beginning with the date of this notice.
