The Queen has been pleased by Letters Patent under the Great Seal of the Realm dated 13th January 2004 to appoint the Right Honourable Sir Simon Denis Brown, Knight, a Lord Justice of Appeal, to be a Lord of Appeal in Ordinary under the Appellate Jurisdiction Act 1876, as amended by subsequent enactments, and to grant to him the dignity of a Baron for life by the style of Baron Brown of Eaton-Under-Heywood, of Eaton-under-Heywood in the County of Shropshire.
