CASTLEDYKES (DUMFRIES) PEDESTRIAN/CYCLEWAY BRIDGE AND CYCLE TRACK SCHEME 2003

Notice is hereby given that the Council has made the above scheme under Section 75(3) of the Act, and is about to submit the scheme to the Scottish Ministers for confirmation.

The purpose of the scheme is to construct a bridge over the River Nith, a navigable river, from Castledykes to Troqueer and to construct a public cycle track to connect the bridge to Gladstone Road. The cycle track and bridge will form part of the Dumfries cycle path network.

A copy of the scheme with relevant specifications, plans and map have been deposited at Militia House, English Street, Dumfries, DG1 2HR, where they may be inspected free of charge during office hours, for the period of six weeks from the date of publication of this notice.

Any person may object to the confirmation of the scheme by notice in writing given to the Scottish Executive, Transport Division 3, Area 2-F, Victoria Quay, Edinburgh EH6 6QQ not later than 7th November 2003. Any notice of objection should state the grounds on which it is made.
